My name is Brianna Juarez; I am the Transitional Kindergarten teacher. I received my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Cerritos College and my bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the Cal State Dominguez Hills. I am now pursuing my master’s degree in Urban Education, along with my multi-subject credential. I attended Catholic School as a young girl and understand the importance of creating a strong Catholic foundation for your children through Christ. I have worked with children from preschool age to fourth grade and enjoy each class for their unique abilities. I am genuinely grateful to be a part of the St. Joseph community, and I look forward to meeting all of you and helping your children grow.
My interest includes hiking, spending time with my family, and watching a movie accompanied by my favorite ice cream.
Teaching Philosophy My philosophy as a Catholic School teacher is to create an equity centered pedagogy. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas daily. I value the perspective of viewing myself as an engaged scholar in the classroom. To work beside students to help meet their educational goals. I also believe in the importance of question-driven learning. It is imperative that we promote children to lead with questions in education. Lastly, it is essential that I provide an inclusive environment for all my students. I believe that children learn best when they feel confident, safe, and cared for in their environment. It is my purpose to effectively provide my students with the skills necessary to build their character and achieve success while simultaneously building their spiritual relationship through Jesus Christ.
